Here's one for the knowledge base:
The 2" back wash valve on my year old reclaim unit failed last week, so all of the water was being recirculated and none going to the wash tank. Thank God for rainy days!
The problem was obvious as it happens whenever air is interrupted going to the valve.
What was found was the original brass seat had unscrewed itself from the valve body and lodged on the discharge side of the valve. Had a rebuild kit overnighted before cracking the valve - only an o ring was needed, but having the parts on had provided a better picture of how this thing is put together.
Anybody had this experience before?
