General 2040 Runs Hot

A guy was in a SS bay the other day bucket washing, but, strangely, he had the meter running and the wand in the holster on Rinse. He did this for at least 20 minutes. I have the weeping type dump guns but of course when the trigger is off there is still a lot of water bypassing through the pressure regulator. I noticed the pump was running pretty hot to the touch.

Is this ok?

Yes, it's circulating the same water over and over and heating it through friction. It can cause problems but there's not much you can do.
