I am in the process of rebuilding a spare CW1541 pump. I have been squirting oil in the holes above the ceramics for years thinking I was lubricating the pump like you do on the cat pumps. When I took the pump apart I noticed there is no felt wicks or oil tray to catch the oil inside the pump. Are these pumps not suppose to be oiled like the cat pumps? I did a quick search and can't find any reference to oiling the ceramics.

Another issue I have is a few of the ceramics are stuck on the plunger shafts. I really hate to break these things as they are $100 a piece. Any ideas on how to get them off without breaking them?

Ha , i was doing the same thing and then noticed it was all going right thru it> my cat 3545 those were oil holes for the wicks. If you got that thing apart wouldnt mind stopping by if thats ok. Getting ready to pop one open myself would help to see what im getting myself into.

On the T1011 and CW2040 pumps, after spraying PB Blaster inside I wrap a towel several times around the plunger to protdct it from vice grips or channel locks and try to twist it to break it loose. If you do that, make sure you grip it far enough back where the piston shaft is inside the plunger or you'll crush it.

General recommends replacing the entire bolt kit and not reusing the bolt.
