Goldline losing memory

Anyone had issues with a goldline losing its memory when it is hot out? Had this issue last year on super hot mornings, now again this year. EIC was just serviced 3 months ago with new modem and new battery. And the bitch is, it defaults to $1, $2, and $3 washes.

It sounds like the battery pack in the controller is going bad. The battery holds the memory in the controller, unfortunately the battery is soldered to the controller board and isn't field replaceable. The EIC is for processing credit cards, it has nothing to do with the controller memory.
