Nice, Bill. Thanks for the memories of the Battlestar Gallactic era of automobiles.
When I was 18 years old, I had the distinct pleasure of owning a two year old 1967 Dodge Charger with a 383 magnum V-8, 14 mpg city.
This two-ton tank had 4 bucket seats, stainless steel center console, white lettered tires and James Bond style hubcabs with chrome daggers.
Although I managed slightly less than 16 secs in the 1/4 mi at the drag strip, it handled corners about as well as trying to steer a wheelbarrow full of rocks.
Thank God for today's modern cars.
