Grand Opening on a Friday?

Whats your thoughts on having a grand opening on a Friday? My PDQ distributor says they only send someone on weekdays for grand openings. I wanted to have it on a Saturday but I want him there also. I would have a stroke if I had a line of cars and it broke down without him there. What are your thoughts? Think i'll be ok to do it all day long on a Friday?

When you say "grand opening" are you tying in special pricing/promotions/giveaways, etc., or is it just the first official day the wash will be open to the public?

There is nothing wrong with setting grand opening dates - like a grand opening weekend. In your case, you could make it Friday-Saturday, or Friday - Sunday. Leverage the presence of the PDQ rep. who will be there on the friday, and then you should feel confident for the other day(s).

Heck - even if they weren't called "grand opening" days, I would want my first Saturday and Sunday of a new wash being open to be big days anyway, and you will already have had one day with him on site to make sure things are in check.

He is not a good Distributor I have been in same situation on a grand opening cars lined up in the street 20+ cars and my PDQ guy was on site that day for grand opening free laser washes all day and I had a problem with the arch and was fixed in under 3mins ask one of his techs for help
