Hamilton 2016 HTK screen issue

so my 2016 HTK's screen is in direct sunlight in the afternoon and you cant see crap on the screen. is this because of screen fade, my screen is going out, or do they make a better screen for being able to read it in direct sunlight?

but in the morning and evening it can be seen just fine?

It's possible the display driver is going bad. My best suggestion would be to call our Parts department to see if we still have any available. Unfortunately, the bonded display was discontinued a few years back due to low volume and parts obsolescence.

HTK has a plexiglass in front of the screen that wears with the sun and makes it hard to see, you can take your screen off and check. Hamilton also has an upgrade kit for a new screen that looks much better and does away with the plexiglass
