Hamilton Bill validator repair

Completely agree with Keno. I didn't even think about it until he said it but the MEI upgrade would be the way to go. The validator will last forever and the acceptance rate is a lot higher. Might cost you a little more up front vs repairing the Hamilton but you won't have to get the Hamilton repaired every year or two. It would be good money spent.

The validators has nothing to do with hosted solutions. Even the new Hamilton HTKS & Commanders like I have come stock with MEI bill validators.
I understand they have nothing to do with hosted solutions. I’m just saying we have the goldline cashiers and I’m not really trying to pay all that money to upgrade 13 cashiers to be able to run the MEI bill validators. I don’t think it would make any sense to upgrade 1 and not the others

I didn't say change all 13 at once. As they go bad you change them. Especially if you dont plan on upgrading those gold lines in the near future. What makes more sense putting a MEI for roughly $700 that will last ten+ years or paying to get your old Hamilton validators repaired every year or two for $250+.

I found an invoice from last year for a validator to be repaired and it was only $100 which isn’t bad. I’ll definitely check into the MEI’s for future reference. I wonder if they are compatible with the Goldlines or not?

$100 is really cheap. I wonder if it lasted long after the repair. I remember paying $250 about ten years ago or so. If you contact the companies cantbreak80 or I suggested im sure they will give you some idea of the cost.

Yes the MEI are compatible with the goldlines. We wouldn't have suggested them if they were not. It's probably the second most purchased upgrade after the cryptopay kit for gold line pay stations. Kleenrite and CWSS both sell the retrofit kit for the MEI for the gold lines. Probably cheaper there than purchasing directly from Hamilton.

I can’t find any MEI validators on Kleen rite. You have a link to any?

You can't buy a new Mars (MEI) validator so you need to find a used or rebuilt one. The new replacement is a Talos made by the same company but not as good. The rebuilt Mars is better. Get with Randy on here to get one. The one potential downside is that the Mars won't take the Hamiilton Token Notes.

Ahh makes sense why I can’t find it. Been about 10 years since I’ve looked.

Where are you located Tylersizemore5? I have Hamilton equipment too. I've been using X-Cel Electronics in Las Vegas, NV for 20 years. Dan Wesolaski is a certified Hamilton repair tech. Very knowledge, personal and helpful! I think he does a better job repairing validators and hoppers than Hamilton does. He's taught me a lot. His phone number is 702-889-9235.

The STA is no longer supported by Hamilton, I believe it was around 2012 they stopped building the STA validators. The problem now is there are no parts available for the STA. For a $100 you probably got belts installed. The Mei/Cpi kit is a no brainier to install, I've sold a lot of them over the years. Hamilton makes a STA to XE validator conversion kit that will allow to use the STA stacker. I might have a couple of STA validators if you need a couple.
