Currently my high pressure rinse water for the IBA is going through my softener.

If each wash selection ends with an RO rinse is it overkill to use soft water for HP rinse?

Thoughts....????

IMHO hard water seems to rinse detergents cleaner anyway. Then go over with your drying agent or sealer and then sfr.

What do you do with your waste from your RO make? It’s good water, it’s been softened, dechlorinated and filtered. Use that water for rinse. I run mine into holding tanks then gravity feed it to my automatics instead of throwing it down the drain.

I was always told that too many grains of hardness even on the cold rinse shortens the life of the high pressure pump???

It actually knocks the suds down easier when it's hard. My RO is so clean that I once got a complaint there was soap in it because it looked like it was sudsing on the paint.
