Hardwired air compressor

The new location I just required has the compressor hardwired to the breaker box. I’ve had a couple locations in the past and haven’t seen this.

Question is this a normal setup for most or some of you guys? Any pros or cons to this? Change it up or let it ride?

thanks for the feedback

It's not a problem having it hard wired, so long as you have access to the breaker.
Not like you would be unplugging it on a regular basis for any reason is there?

No sir, never unplug it. Just for reasons for if/when it goes out. I just had never seen this and wanted to make sure it’s good to leave it that way. Thanks !

240V compressors usually come with no plug, so they usually end up getting hard-wired when they're installed. TBH I'd rather have something as big as a 7.5 HP motor hard-wired than plugged in, or I'd use an extra-heavy plug and commercial grade outlet.
