A quick heads up guys- We've had rainy weather this week, but I just discovered today that my wash selects were no longer processing credit cards. All cards are rejecting I called unitec tech support and was told this was a decision by the merchant processor to stop accepting in this format. I don't even know who it was, I just know that Bank of America is who deposited funds.

Basically, I have to get new merchant accounts set up and get unitec to reprogram the modems. The result will probably be an expense and loss of revenue of a couple thousand dollars. As you can imagine, I'm not real happy.

Anyway, check your WSIIs if you are processed by TYSYS or Global.

Just set up my 2 new sentinels 2 weeks ago. Was told by Unitec that Global was the preferred provider but my distributor said to go with Mercury. Glad i listened to his advice!

I'm processed by TSYS! As of yesterday I'm still showing captured transactions. We ran a whole bunch of cards all day today too. Are you using dial up or hi-speed? I'm dial up.

I was told by the new processor it was TYSYS. That may be only partially correct. It also has to do with the format, my Hamilton at another site that processes via TYSYS is still running. I left a message yesterday for the merchant processing department at unitec yesterday afternoon around closing. I am hoping someone at unitec will call me back today to give me specifics. I will try to update.

If you were processing teserday I would say you are good. I was told the change started earlier this week.

I installed the square app on my phone and will try to stay there as much as possible to process via my phone. It's supposed to be beautiful here.

Global is the problem.
Unitec claims that they had no idea this was coming.

The switch is not that complicated but the down time is killing us.

of course this has to happen on the busiest week we have had all year.

Tuesday at some point the unitec stopped processing credit cards. called tech support 5 times. Didnt get a call back until 9pm eastern time. Guy said that they our processor was no longer in service and we need a new merchant account. Told me to call wednesday morning to get ball rolling on new merchant account.
Talked to Nancy and put me in touch with the new processing company. Filled out all the forms online( very simple actually) and new merchant account was approved yyesterday.
I sent the modem back to unitec on wednesday to get reprogrammed. Havent heard but I Dont think it will be back until next week.

The whole process was smooth so far..........Problem is that we have to go through this without any warning. I find it hard to believe that Unitec had no idea this was coming.
A Phone call....A letter......A telegram would have been nice to let us know that one day our credit card processor that they chose will stop processing credit cards and render our equipment cash only.

The new processor is eating and charges from unitec which is the only reason we didnt just do the cryptopay conversion.

Thanks for the clarification. I believe It is global MAPP that is the problem. Maybe the mods can change my thread title.

I set up square on my phone. The process takes 10 minutes and the rates are cheaper than my normal merchant rates. I'm just going to hang around and make a work weekend out of to minimize the financial damage.

we are lucky in the fact that we have an attended tunnel on site that in addition to the touchless. We just put up a sign that says pay cash or honk for assistance. Its alot more work for the same $

I used square and managed to get in about three hundred dollars of CC in revenue on Friday. Most customers were OK with it. Some weren't Assuming the funds show up in my account, I really like it.

I have to leave today around 3 pm. I think I'm just going to run a $5 special on all washes in my absence.

Trying to put a silver lining on this, I'm seeing a lot of customers, and finally getting my office cleaned up while spending so much time up there.
