Help- Big time two Timer with Talos

I just got in a couple talos bill acceptors to replace my 2003 AE2000 series bill acceptors for my coin boxes. They boxes were made by D&S. For some reason after programming the Talos, it still won’t send the pulses to the timer. It takes the bill in and accepts it, but no time added. I tried Gaming Short(as recommended) and Gaming Long. The new and old harnesses are the same and tried both. No luck. I Any suggestions? Thanks fellas

Why are you replacing? The AE validators are superior to the Talos. Send the AE validators in for refurbishment
I like the higher speed and rate of acceptance. I’ve had good luck with them on my HTKs, over two years no problems. Wasn’t sure about if the AEs could be updated to the newest currency iterations, possibly can but just wanted to go new.

We've had 2 brand new talos fail in changers in less than a year. The price they are new, I would expect them to last more than a year without having to touch them. They were replaced with AE units. Wouldn't even want to guess their lifespan in a SS bay.

Are you sure you got the correct model? They are supposed to be drop in replacements as far as I know. Any help from the people you bought them from?

I've repaired a lot of AE2612 validators. I just repaired 6 for one our Forum friends and they work perfect. Which Model Talos are you using? You should be using a T612-U3 model. They should work if your programing them correctly.

The Talos are T612-U3E. They seem to have a missing pin in each of them compared to the pins on the AE series. the 4th from the bottom left row pin has just a dot of solder. A wire on the harness does go there, which has no connection. Bother are like that so I'm not sure if its supposed to be that way or not.
