Help troubleshooting Frag/Vac

I have a JC Frag/Vac that is giving me fits trying to figure out the issue with it. One of the fragrances is not spraying and I can't figure out why. It is the one all the way to the right, so the bottom coil of the 3. I have tried replacing the coil, switching the coil with the middle selection, cleaning out the stem, cleaning the barbs to make sure they are open and also the making sure that there is no obstruction under the stem. It is not sucking the fragrance out, so it is not on the outlet side. Any suggestions on what else the issue could be? The other two selections work perfectly fine and the coil and wiring both work when paired to a different selection, so it is not the coil, button or wiring.

Thanks.

I would start by removing the air line from the compressor and replace it with the pickup hose from the fragrance in question. This forces air through the liquid hose. This should blow out any obstructions that may be in the system or lines. If there is a line loose in the fragrance gun, you will see liquid coming out from the inside of the gun instead of the nozzle.

Ghetto Wash, I appreciate the tip. I used that method to clear out the hose, and even thought I was skeptical, it fixed the problem. The hose had looked clear, but I guess there was something in there. A couple of years ago when I first started working on the combo vacs, I would hook all the lines to the compressor to clear them out and it worked great. Not sure how I forgot about that, but many thanks for reminding me.

wow what a coincidence. Im having the same problem, but mine is #1 coil which is top coil. The line is clear from both input and output side. I pull the output hose and put in a piece of hose i cut put the end into a cup of water to test. turn on the coil blow out from the input side and it bubbles on the other end. I suck the water back and it goes thru fine too. I did call our tech, he say try put your thumb into atomizer, front end of gun. Blocking air flow to push all the liquid in the line back into the gallon container. Then run it... so i try it later when i go back to the wash.

did you check to make sure that the coil was not the issue? If all lines are clear, then all that is left is to make sure the coil is energizing.

Easiest way to check is to hold your finger on the tip. Watch all the tubes to be sure fluid/air is only flowing back on the selected line. Ive had sticky solenoids drive me nuts. I will run methanol through the lines every now and then just to clean the lines and solenoids. I did have to replace a couple atomizers that for some reason stopped working???? I really like my Coleman Vacs until something stops working or trying to get parts. They seem to be getting more and more difficult to get information from.

I wil add I have had solenoid plungers stick in both the closed and open postiion.

Yeah me too!!! Stuck open and someone drops gun on ground you come in to a sweet smelling puddle of frangrance!!! What do you guys all use for frangrance bottles in these vacs?? Gallon jugs or bottles always seem to melt when the heat comes on.

I use whichever container came with the unit or the gallon jug that the fragrance came in.

I use both half gallon jugs and also some empty spray bottles. The spray bottles are small and I can keep them away from the heat so they don't melt.

Keep them away from the heat?? I have Doyle, JE Adams, and Fragramtic Vacuums with fragrance options. I have never had any type of bottle melting issues from too much heat. What kind of vacs do you have that cause heat and bottle melting issues?

This might be a little excessive, but you'd never have to replace them or worry about them melting.
