Hello!

I tried searching but couldn’t find any answers so here we go.

recently started working for someone As a maintenance tech. I am more familiar with in bay autos but this is a self serve pull in bay setup. 310 cat pumps, flojets, tank minders. All pretty basic stuff.

the owner was working on the weep system for winterization and all the sudden one of the bays wouldn’t allow high pressure rinse. Strangely, the high pressure soap would though. Run the soap, switch to rinse, would rub for about 3 seconds then chatter and lose all pressure. Anyone have any ideas? I know it’s vague but I’m pretty green to SS set ups so am struggling here.

Only other thing I could think of was maybe he knocked some rust bits loose while he was messing around and it gummed up a check valve?

This is the setup, around 20 years old and seems like the rinse comes from the holding tank, not directly from the main line. image.jpg

It sounds like it's either sucking air or is blocked.
Something on the supply side of that pump was left open or is obstructing the flow.
Check the line from the malfunctioning pump back to the reservoir for a loose or open fitting, foreign object blockage, malfunctioning solenoid, or cracks / break in the line.

Figured it out! Not sure exactly how to explain it. The was an old, unused (allegedly) solenoid with a ball valve that had been turned on that was causing a leak. Thanks for the help y’all!
