Hole in top of coin vault

What size is the hole in the top of a coin vault. What do you use to connect the bay meter to the vault and what fittings?

It's usually meant for a 1 1/2" threaded fitting to pass through and be secured with conduit nuts.

I've always used PVC pipe.

1 1/2" spa hose. Cement fittings on it just like rigid pvc pipe. Get it at your local Home Depot.

I always welded a stub of 1-1/2" tubing (i.e. automotive exhaust pipe) and used 1-1/2" SmoothBor vacuum hose to connect to the meter box.

Just make sure the vac hose is installed without a "p-trap". Yikes!

I agree with everything above plus I put cement around any pipe (if not installed in the wall) that is exposed
going into the safe.
