My hot water holding tank seems to overflow at certain times when certain bays are running (coleman super saver). I have installed a new Jobe float valve and checked that it is working correctly, and adjusted it accordingly, so this is not the problem. Any ideas?

Tascosa,

Is your water in your tank perfectly clear? We recently had one of our wax solenoids fail to seal in its closed position which allowed a creep of fluid to go into our tank through a pump. Of course we had more a problem than just the overflow situation because the small tank needed to be used enough on rinse to clear it up.

It's not a solenoid or spot-free or wax. The only thing it can be on your system is the check valve on the hot water feed from the tank. It's easy enough to find which one, just turn on all the bays (all at once or one at a time) on a function that uses hot water, wait a few minutes and switch it to rinse. If the check valve is bad, it will get cold.

Hopefully, Mep's suggestion of that specific check valve will take care of the overflow problem within your specific Coleman system. For some of us self service operators with individual tanks for each bay & each tank lower than the tank that holds the spot free or whatever ... then my suggestions could possibly apply.

yes, Coleman has a pressurized rinse. as MEP indicated it's one of the check valves under the hot water tank.
