Was looking at G&G lighting packages that KR sells. For a typical self serve bay is 20,000 lumens enough or should I be looking in the 30,000 lumens range.
Bays are approximately 22x15 and walls are white. I want to make the bays bright and inviting. Is there a drawback to having too many lumens?
thanks

I'm using 4 of these per bay (which means each bay shares 2) because the ones between a bay shed light on both bays if your walls don't go all the way to the roof. I chose them to replace 8' fluorescent fixtures from the 70s. They work so good you could send me $500 per bay and you'd still save $500+ per bay over the price of the G&G kits.😆
With that said the G&G light kits work well, and do provide an easier solution for wiring if you don't have existing conduit.

Roz recently started a thread that has some good info too..

We have 2x 8ft 12000lumens lights in bays at one of our locations, very bright. I would be looking at least for 24000 lumens per bay as minimum. The more the better, light that thing up like a car dealership parking lot.

I purchased the GGBAY48IB. I believe they are 4 8 foot sections for my IBA. Mounted on the ceiling. 50,000 lumens. Easy to install but a little pricey. They light the place up like an operating room;) but it really does not feel like overkill. I keep my bay very clean and I wanted to showcase that versus feeling like you are in a dungeon. Especially in the dark midwest winters.

I would recommend.

Edit. My bay is about 40 feet long.
