We just acquired a neglected tunnel wash. The windows are "fogged over" with accumulated soap residue, etc. Any ideas how to clean them?

Composition of scum on windows will change along length of tunnel.

Entrance end windows will be stained or etched by detergents. Most of the time replacement makes more sense.

Middle sections may be covered by grey or reclaim water. Use weak acidic solution like when cleaning soft-cloth brushes.

Exit end will be covered with drying agent residue, etc. Use a solvent to remove scum (i.e. mineral spirits).

After cleaning, coat windows with rain-x or similar to minimize scum.

We have used this product on glass that I thought would never be clear again. It worked very well. It can be used by hand but if you are doing alot of glass a buffer works well too.

IF you get the windows clean cover them with anti-graffiti film afterwards. Dirt will come off easily. If you were in a warm climate I would remove the windows :)
