How to clean your carwash wraps,701's, Rs 1000's etc.........

I'd like to know. I've tried several solutions with very limited success but I am an IBA and am not going to clean them frequently enough. From what I've read a lot of tunnel operators use dawn ultra in a foam cannon. They spray every night before closing and let it sit overnight and then just let them self clean on the first few cars the next day.

Ok. Of you are talking about the foam, any degreaser like dawn or and all purpose cleaner will be your best bet. Keep in mind, what you are seeing is not dirt on the surface. That’s the beauty of foam - it is close celled and does not hold dirt. You are seeing stains - like having an old rag that’s been used a lot - you can wash it and it is clean - water will be clear when rinsing, it just has deep set stains.

Best thing is prevention - make sure you have some high pressure and emulsifier detergent on your cars before they hit the wraps or any friction equipment. Also, darker blues and blacks work better on the lower detail and rocker brushes for hiding the stains after 100,000 washes! I tend to just switch out the cloth that doesn’t look good - probably prematurely before it is worn, but it makes the wash just look better.

At one location it seemed as if the light Blu color was coming out leaving behind some natural darker color of the foam. I always luv it when see photos of new locations with Yellow foam and wonder how long it will take for it to look bad. Local guy with MacNeil setup no has black and yellow mixed together so there is no appearance of stained yellow.
