Our much beloved president has chosen someone to sit on the supreme court based not on her talent as a jurist, but mainly because of her life story. I got to thinking (I operate a think tank as a side job), why not choose people in other jobs for their life story? I would love to see the passangers faces when the flight attendant announces "You will be pleased to know that your captain today was chosen because we needed a female minority on our payroll." Or, how about, "Your regular doctor could not make it for your operation today, but what a great substitute we have. She has been on Oprah and The View!" At this woman's age, she could be making policy for us for 30 years.

She is on tape stating the court makes policy--she obviously does not understand her responsibilty and is about to be over turned in discrimination case but congress has such low standards she will be confirmed.

So far, I'll take the triple dipper. (Female, hispanic, good life story.)
I expected someone from the extreme far left lunatic fringe to be nominated and she doesn't quite seem to fit that. My take is that if she isn't more far left than who she replaces, then it's as good a choice as we're going to get.

I doubt if at this point it will make any difference. We are so screwed that most of us won't live long enough to recover.
I doubt that many of us will live long enough to see this country recover from the work of this administration. This Supreme Court selection is a joke on us just like the "stimulus" package, apologizing to Europe, taking over financial institutions and now having the government become an auto manufacturer. Not to mention calling the CIA liars and spending more time blaming the previous administration for problems rather than working toward a solution. This guy reminds me of someone who buys a car wash then discovers they know nothing about the business. Before he and his buddies are done we will be beyond screwed.
