How to prevent Wyndstar doors on exit from dripping on vehicles

Self-Serve and Automatics
We have several washes with Wyndstar doors on the exit of the bays. Sometimes the doors will drip water off the bottom edge when they are up as the cars are driving out through the blower. Has anyone come up with an easy solution for this? I have thought of adding some kind of automatic tray that would catch the water when the door goes up, sort of like the pop up wind deflector on a car sunroof. I'd rather just buy something than have to invent it.

That's not a WyndStar issue, that's just a door issue. I've had numerous types of doors, including WyndStar. Doors just drip water, and not much you can do about it. That's one reason I am an advocate of having the dryer outside the building.

GoBuck - let's invent it together. I have the same issue and I've been trying to think of a similar solution. Drops under the door to catch the drips, then folds away when the door closes so it can release the water. For now, I just leave my exit doors open. Won't be a solution for winter though.

I.B. - agree 100%. When I revamped my automatics, I was tossed with on board or outside dryers. I didn't consider the drips, so I went with onboard. Lesson learned.

You can reduce, but not eliminate the drips if you set them to stay about 1 inch off the ground. There will still be some water collecting on the edge from the mist - especially in a touch free wash, but not nearly as much as when the door closes and makes contact with the wet floor. Worse part about the drips when it is from water on the ground is that the water is usually dirty too.
