Does anybody use the Kleen-Tech KT-688 powdered soap? The wash we bought this spring has used this chemical for years in the IBA and as self serve soap. We buy it in 100lb. Kegs, mix it 1 scoop to a gallon of water in a 55 gallon drum and then its ran through the hydrominder 511 and into the flojet and then to the bays. I really have no concerns with the performance of the soap. I just want to make sure we are using the correct amounts of soap. The instructions on the container made little sense to me. I'm just curious how everything works with the mixing tank, hydrominder tank etc. Am I correct in saying that the tip in the hydrominder is what basically controls the dilution of the soap that goes to the bays and what is the correct tip? Is it worth trying to meter soap on the Dema Manifold blocks? I just want to make sure we are doing things the correct way here and I don't want to be wasting or using unnecessary chemical. I'm learning everyday and this site has been a great resource. I know there are lots of technical posts on here about dilution, titration, etc, but can someone explain to me in layman terms how this all works.

I know, I know....lots of questions from this newbie, but I want to learn.

I don't think I'd use a bay soap that's corrosive.

“If it’s not broke don’t fix it” Are you satisfied with the performance of the product? Does it foam well from the high pressure gun? What color tip are you using in your 511 Hydrominder? Is the product economical? How much does a 100 lb. box of this product cost? We use a powdered presoak from KR costs about $60 for a 50 lb box.
