Hydro spray Rainmaker

Hi there!
The new wash I should be getting next month is equipped with a Rainmaker. I’m used to the Futura revolution and I really like it. I recently bought two extra ones and was thinking about installing one in place of the Hydro Spray. The old wash has a well and the new one doesn’t. I’ve heard Futuras are water hogs but how much in comparison to the hanging style washes?
Also, how is the cleaning capability of the Rainmaker compared to other ones like Razors. I don’t care if I can adjust passes with my smartphone. That is not important. Especially when the main tower can be replaced for around $17k. I asked my new soap supplier and he said the hydro sprays are workhorses. The Futura has no problem with mirrors being left out or washing dually trucks. As usual, I’m all over the place with questions. Thanks for any suggestions!

From what I have personally witnessed and posts I have read on this forum - the Razor is a very efficient machine. The others you mention, futura and rainmaker are both older technology. Not that old is bad - it isn’t at all - after all, I’m old(er)!

But it’s not just about water consumption- chemical consumption and speed are important too - chemicals, as you know are a major cost for our business. Of course wash quality is the most important facet of what we look for in a machine, and I think the razor gets pretty high marks there too. Lots of guys on the forum that have Razors will chime in on this I’m sure.

Thanks! And I totally agree with you. Speed is the only thing I’m not concerned about. Both of my locations are in small towns. I’m impressed with the Hydro Spray as far as the cleaning goes. The rotating spray arms seem like they’d be more forgiving in the event of a clogged nozzle, compared to the ones that could potentially leave a stripe. Maybe I’m wrong. The narrow width is bothersome, even in my little car. Thanks Again!
