I see several reclaim system manufacturers are boasting 5 Micron Water Quality using only Hydro-cyclonic units for filtration.
Fact is, these units can only separate to 50 Microns, at best. I obtained data and charts reflecting this directly from the manufacturer of a hydro-cyclone used on a popular reclaim system. I have the data if anyone is interested in seeing it.
For those using them or thinking about using them, you should re-think your decisions. Most pump manufacturers will not warranty their pumps with anything over 10 Microns. Over time, you will wear out a lot of pumps and components if you are using these, not to mention "sand-blasting" your customers vehicles.
Not blasting anyone here, just letting the truth be known.
