I have a hydrominder (511 I believe) that seems to have something obstructing flow.

The flow out of the hydrominder is only about 10% of normal and will not pull chemical. I have taken it apart a couple times. After i put it back together it will work normally 2 or 3 times then it goes back to 10%. Any ideas?

Here is what I know:
Water pressure is good
The magnet valve seems to work ok.
The tip is not clogged

Have you checked/cleaned the screen on the inlet of the Hydrominder? I had a couple of small pebbles get stuck in one of mine a week ago, same thing low flow.

The inlet seems ok. After I put it back together it will flow water and chemical for as long as I hold it open. After 2 or 3 times, it is back to 10%. Could it be a vacuum issue?

You may need to replace the diaphragm or the whole valve kit. The original plastic-stem ones tend to fail with a restriction of water flow, at which point the venturi isn't strong enough to draw. If taking it apart and cleaning it solves it only for a while, it's not going to be a clogged screen. I've never had this trouble with the kits using the brass stem.

Take the hose off the inlet. Turn on the water and flush the hose into a bucket, check for any debris that might be in the hose. Physically check the filter/screen in the inlet of the Hydrominder. If they are both good, remove the top of the valve body and flush out the valve. Replace the diaphragm and actuator in the Hydrominer. If it still doesn?t work right then it?s got to be the vacuum breaker.

Check and make sure you do not have a steel fitting in the system that has rusted shut, had one that was doing just what you are saying, i would take it apart flush it it would work fine for a few and then stop. I also called hydrominder when i was having this same problem, they told me that if the vacuum breaker was bad it would leak.

I had this problem a few times and each time it was the rubber diaphragm. they are cheap and I bet it solves your problem.

I also had one to quit injecting. Turned out to be a small peble in the siphon injector orfice. I don't know how it got past the screen. Just another troubleshooting tip for next time!
