iba heater

For those of you that have heat in your iba...what are you using? Does it work well for you? Would you do different next time?

For me, the combination of a door, floor heat, and warm glycol running through the rails is enough to keep any ice buildup from occurring. If I had a door on the other side of the bay it would be even more toasty! :)

I have ultimate radiant tube heaters in both of my IBA's. I am open 24 x 7 all year. Even below zero weather in the winter when they are rowed up all day washing salt off of their vehicles I have no problems. The enter & exit doors are opening/closing about every 7 minutes and no problems. No heat in the IBA slab inside the bay. Outside slab is heated to help keep the ice buildup down. The only thing I would like to change is the time that the exit doors stay open after the vehicle leaves - when a car is waiting both doors are open at that point and the wind blows a lot of my heat away. Still no freezing issues but it would save on propane if I could retain more of the heat.

We finished installation of a Washworld HV in Jan. I have no heat in bay, Airlift Extremes on both ends of bay. I did put pex at both ends but nothing hooked up yet, I am also going to run a 4" radiant tube thru the bay at the exit side of bay between parked unit and exit door. Didnt need anything last year but just want to have a little heat going.
