This is relevant to car washing because I remember when Mount Saint Helen erupted we had plenty of ash even though North Dakota was & is a considerable distance from that particular volcano in the state of Washington. To make a long story short, we definitely had more car washing happening because of the risk of leaving it on the vehicles.

I'm a little worried about the effects on the wx. They said europe experienced colder summers the last time it erupted and because of it 8,000 people starved to death.They won't starve today, but if the crops are disrupted put a strain on the worlds wheat and corn supplies. The disruptions are difficult on the world economy, and will come back to the US. I suppose it depends on how long it erupts, and if the second volcano starts.
