If I could do it all over again

I am looking at building from scratch a car wash in a suburb of Dallas TX. This area is expected to double in size (by over a million ppl) by 2020. If you could do it all over again with the knowledge you now have, what would your first car wash have been like, assuming you were in my area? What would you have done different? More self service bays or more automatic bays? etc..

Thanks in advance for your experience and knowledge.

look at jimmy jaffa's wash and copy that. that's what i'd do. i'd also add detailing and used car sales because i have those now and really enjoy them.

Have vacuum stations where it will be covered & dry ( don't have dryers downhill from bays). Have vacuums, fragmatic & shampooer. Have those SS covers on your trashcans. Don't be afraid to buy some used equipment, if it's gently used & in great shape. Get a change machine w/ a MARS validator. Don't go overboard on expensive add-on equipment. Obvious things are location, & we'll lit, easy egress etc...

2 IBA & 4/5 SS. Seems like Wash World "Razor" is a terrific Automatic. I've researched Automatics a LOT, & if I had the money, I'd buy that one.

Razors are about the same as LW 4000, but the 4000 is discontinued (I think about $120k?). Razor just has modified the LW 4000 w/ better features.
