Insecticide Used Around The Carwash

What insecticide do you guys use around your CW if you do it yoursef? In the bays, around the exterior of the building, around lights, etc… I’d like to get something that doesn’t stain or streak Extrutech wall panels or panted block but also leaves a residual so it lasts for more than a few weeks. I’m having a terrible time with spiders spinning webs and right now the horse flies are ferocious!

I would try a farm supply store. For barns and
animals they usually have something that
works pretty good.

I dont do it myself. I hire a local exterminator to take care of the spiders. In fact he called me last week and mentioned its getting close to the time when they will come in and do their annual spraying. One application is all it takes to kill off all of the spiders and prevent more from nesting in the fall. He does it on a rainy evening in August, we let the bays sit overnight and reopen them in the morning. I think it costs me about $40 per bay.

Bifin IT and Talstar looks like the same thing. I just ordered some off Amazon, Talsar Pro 3/4 gallon for $44.75 shipped. Mixes about 100 gallons. How can you go wrong when all the reviews rave about this product. Thanks for the suggestions!

I stand behind my caulking suggestion based on a vivid memory of an unbelievable citywide cricket infestation that we had some years ago. I clearly remember the Pest Control Experts caulking as part of their more complete solution ... for the entire strip mall building lower exterior across the street from us. The crickets seemed to be mainly just right along side of the base of buildings throughout our city.

I. B. Washing & Mep do have a legitimate concern about potential cost though.

I took it that Mep was joking about sealing up a SS bay, since both ends have openings of about 10' X 15'. It definitely would take a lot of caulk
