We have a 9-year-old Softgloss XS being run on a decrepit Code-A-Wash IV and an AMTT. We are replacing the CAW and the AMTT with a C-start. What interface do I need to get the C-Start to talk to the Softgloss? Are they available on the secondary market? What does it cost?

If your Softgloss is 9 years old, it likely has an FX2N PLC installed. If so, you will need to install a Wash Combination Selector, P/N 15903-000 and wire it to the PLC inputs as shown on the electrical schematic in your service manual. The inputs to the wash combo selector come from the relay outputs of the C-Start. Next, you will need to go into the setup questions and answer "OtherArming?" "YES". Each bank of switches corresponds to one of the inputs from the coinbox for a wash package. Just turn on the appropriate dipswitches to setup your wash packages. Retail on the Wash Combo is $892.22.

If you have a newer Softgloss that uses an FX3U, you would not need the wash combo selector. Just wire the outputs from the coinbox directly to the corresponding inputs on the PLC for each package. You would still need to answer the setup question "OtherArming?" "YES", and the packages are built by turning on/off M registers in the program for the various options used on each package.
