We have a stand alone Coleman triple shine unit that, when activated, takes too long for the product to be delivered to the customer. The customer gets frustrated and switches to another selection. This has operated in this manner since day one. Once the unit "gets going" though, the product delivery is good. The problem is the initial delay in getting the product to the customer. Too many times I'm in the equipment room and hear the coleman's Procon pump start and then shut off approximately fifteen seconds later (indicating the customer got no triple shine foam). I'm at my wits end trying to fix this problem. I have seen other triple shine units that use the flojet pump with good results. Is it possible the Procon is the culprit? perhaps the foamers?

check your adjustment 50psi product and 20 air is what I have. Make sure you don't have a bad check valve in the roof or elsewhere. Lastly it could be the procon pump. Let the machine run and see what come out at the outlet. Some procon pump has a screw on the side to increase the flow.

We have a check valve at the top of the coil hose of our foaming gun so the line is primed and is ready to go when the customer switches to it.

Thanks for the help! Our system has separate booms so there was never any check valves installed. In addition, when the triple shine function is switched off there is no siphoning of the chemicals in the supply line or any dripping from the application gun. I was wondering if the Procon pump is somehow unable to pump the fluid for the first fifteen seconds because of the mixture. Perhaps, there is air mixing with the chemical causing the pump to momentarily loose it's prime or some micro controller delay opening the supply solenoid. I know that sounds far fetched but I am out of ideas. I have built several systems since we purchased this system and have always used a flojet pump and larger diameter foamers and never experienced this problem. Does anybody else with a JC triple shine unit experience the same problems? It's a deal killer because the customer thinks the system is broken and switches to another function.

I have had the same problem only with the tire cleaner. I put a check valve after the pump and its working. It could be some other check valve maybe in the airlines that is blowing chemical back through the line and into the tank but I would tend to think that if you see bubbles inside the mixing tank. A bad check valve can cause alot of strange problems.

Did you have 3/8 tubing on the liquid tubing? if not replace them with 3/8 tubing other thing is change the timing in the PLC so the solenoids dont close to soon and let the chemical flow to the Procon Pump(vane pump) and also adjusting the flow on the pump can improve your speed,Wish you luck!!:)
