Has anyone repaired the drive on these? Motor turns but the brush slips when pressure is applied to the brush. I have replaced them before during warranty, so never has a change to take one apart, are they repairable????
It is the gearbox that is worn out. The gearbox and motor are sold as one unit and it is made by Baldor. I have also had trouble with the gearboxes on the wheel scrubs not lasting very long. Coleman not has a new way to mount the wheel scrubs and there is a retrofit available. I did this about three months ago so not sure if it will help or not. The wheel scrubs are great but they do need to address the durability of the gearbox. Good Luck !Has anyone repaired the drive on these? I am interested. How much ?Nope the gearbox is pressed onto the motor. You need to get a new one and replace the entire assembly. BTW I have JC WW 2.0 wheel brushes (the entire assembly, frame, motor, piston, brush, just unbolted off machine) for sale, 3 in excellent shape, 1 with a bent shaft and tweaked frame (you can get the frame straighted at a machine shop or auto place sometimes, the shaft will have to be replaced) if you are interested.
