I have a JC Fragrance/Vac that I installed a cryptopay swiper in just over a week ago. After a few hours, the 120/24v transformer went bad. I ordered one and replaced it two days ago. Now this morning it went out again. I haven't had a transformer go bad in all of my years and 15 JC vacs. Could the cryptopay be causing the issue, or is it a coincidence and something else is going on? Funny thing is that I had a transformer also go out on another Frag/Vac at my other wash yesterday, but that one has had the cc swiper for weeks so I don't think it's the same issue.

I don't know what the power requirement are for the swiper, but you could fuse it and that would possibly help keep from burning up the transformers.

I unscientifically decided that the swiper was the issue. I bought two swipers from KR and installed one at each wash. Over the weekend the vac at the other wash with the new swiper blew the transformer as well. So it can't be a coincidence. I shipped the swipers back to Cryptopay, but I already went through 3 transformers and the cost to ship the swipers back.

I added a fuse on the transformer 24 volt side on all our JC combos, as CFCW had advised above. Not sure why JC didn't do this originally.
