Jim Coleman RO System Issues

How much wastewater is normal to go down the drain. Ours runs so much, and barely puts any water into the tank and the waste water line, is practically a water hose with the way the water comes out. We have checked all the lines compared it to our other RO system at the other car wash and it's all about the same, switched membranes. The only thing is the gauge is reading barely reading any pressure as our other one reads 150 lbs. Could this be affecting has the water is suppose to work in the membrane?

Sounds like the booster pump isn't running or a solenoid isn't allowing the pressured water to get to the membrane. Maybe a flush solenoid is sticking open when it shouldn't be? My booster pump runs at about 190 psi.

We just put in a brand new booster pump, like a month ago, the regulator when we try to adjust it it doesn't change anything, and if I try to put my thumb over the waste water line, I can see the pressure start to go up, but water starts to gush out the back of the regulator valve.

You may need a new regulator IIRC, There is a flush valve solenoid that may be stuck open also. Bottom line the unit is not going to generate any significant volume of water until you get enough pressure to force water through the membrane.
