I used these a lot and was happy with them, but then they started getting pricy. I was delighted to see them for $48.50 in the Kleen Rite catalogue so ordered some. Got them in and sold one right away and put the others instock. Well we got out invoice from KR, and guess what? There was a small typo in the catalogue. They really cost $148. No one told us when ordering and so far they will not honor the price for even the one I sold. I have always had a secret desire for these catalogue places to self destruct. This doesn't do anything to change that. They have to know that they priced the item way low and don't tell you that. I guess that the only good thing is that you don't have to press 1 for freaking English, like the great catalogue place in south Florida. Some days I swear I would rather be selling Slurpees at the Circle K. At least then I wouldn't be losing money.

I think I'd give them a few options:

1. Honor their price.
2. Take back the valves you bought and they cover shipping.
3. Lose my business.

I agree with Red. They should allow you to return all unopened packages for a full refund, plus they reimburse the shipping. Then honor the price for the one you sold.

They won't do 1. They will do 2 without hesitation. They've mostly lost 3 with me for similar issues.

If you paid with a credit card you could dispute the charge with the card company.
It shouldn't go that far. They do have disclaimers in place so they don't have to honor incorrectly posted prices, but they've always been good about returns. I doubt the credit card company will be of any help in a fight to get Kleen-Rite to honor a wrongly-posted price.

It looks like they put the cold temp valve price on the high temp. item number. Order online--prices always seems to be correct there. Or check online before calling in. That is what I always do these days; just to be sure of pricing.

I quit using those valves anyway, because they fail so quick...... mostly shut off.....instead of flooding equipment room....
