Hello all. As most of you know I am an equipment distributor that offers service on many systems, parts, and of course soap. I sell the Istobal line. So here I an in south west FL enjoying life and having a ball running a business. I got a call from the Navy in Key West. They have a four bay self serve sold and installed by MK 7. There is just no kind way to say this. Their self serve is sooo overloaded with stuff that it's comical. Yes my detractors out there (and I know who you are) are saying I'm just bashing my competition. Well, yes, I am doing that. But for a reason I think most of you will agree with. The factory direct people here in FL have been trying for like 7 months to get this stuff working right. And they can't. Let that sink in for a minute. Some of the things they told the operator are like they just sent someone with 2 weeks training to fix. When I was there I saw the water softener and spot free systems shut off. That's strange I thought. The operator said the tech found it not working and told them it wasn't needed. So he shut it off. The operator on another occasion got so fed up that he called the factory and got a regional manager who assured him he would come down and fix it himself. Told him the day and time when to expect him. Hours after that time still with no call, the operator calls him and gets an excuse of running late. This can happen in the keys as there is mostly a 2 lane highway to get there. So now he says in another couple of hours. Then, nothing. The regional manager never showed or even had the courtesy to call. Remember that went on for months for a four bay that they built. And of course, MK 7 boasts of being part of the largest manufacturer in the world. There is nothing like scooting down to Key West in a Mooney doing 180 mph, and then getting handed opportunities like this. Life is good.
