My 4000 has a wheel shaft (the one facing rear of wash) that drives the trolley left to right that is moving itself away from the gearbox. I took air out of tire and the bearing is bad, which I could replace, but what holds the shaft in the gearbox? Do I have to replace entire gearbox or bearing and ??? Please advise...Thank You:)

The shaft is two pieces( one per side) The four bolts on the bearing hold it in place. There are set screws holding bearing to shaft. Just watch out for the key in shaft, don't lose or forget to put back in.

lag,

Thank you so much for the note. I am not a pro by any means, and your tip helped me change the shaft, and bearing in less time than I imagined. It just so happened both shafts were moving, so I was able to detect a future problem early also...as a new member here, I really appreciate your time.
