Pretty much new to the business so all help is appreciated I have 2 washes with 3 automatics - all laserwash 4000 last 2 (floor treadle units) seem kinda neglected
1 is out of commission with measure eye fail Hamilton reads "out of service"
Where to start?
The first thing to check is that the reflective material on the exit end of the right wheel stop (passenger side treadle plate) is clean and free of scuff marks. Next, with the bridge in the home position, make sure the photo eye mounted on the passenger side of the bridge is still looking at the reflective material on the right wheel stop. If it is then look for cracks or build up on the photo eye. If everything is okay, then next check the cable for problems..
The most common problems are with the reflective material not bouncing the beam back to the eye. The amplifier in J3 getting weak (you can usually turn them up). Finally, the eye occasionally goes bad and has to be replaced.
