It seems I'm always looking for the next thing I can do to save money and generate extra revenue.
The next idea I have for saving money is installing a private water well. I am currently doing the calculations for payback and cost savings. It is complicated and some things have to be estimated. But for me, having my own private water source will be a huge benefit in this particular business, so it is something I feel compelled to do, despite the large up-front costs of such a project.
For extra revenue I am looking at the double vac (2 vacs in one). I have space near my front-of-the-lot vending area, nearest the road. Many folks towel dry the car there now and I am definitely under-equipped for vacs (2) now.
The other idea for increasing revenue is to add 2 CC acceptors in my 2 SS bays from Cryptopay. CC usage is on the rise in my IBA as well as detail shop, so this is the trend. No sense ignoring it, which could leave $ on the table.
That is what I am up to, along with buying and selling used cars, which is a separate full-time job in and of itself!
