Your thoughts on the best height and distance for getting the best result for a plate camera to also avoid headlight and taillight wash-outs? IR660 plate camera. Been reading older posts but wanting to know updated results? thanks

You have to use adjustable lens to zoom in. Any box camera will work, as long as your DVR provides clear playback.

Getting a license plate at night is pretty hard. There are a lot variables, lighting, angle, speed, etc. We’ve had good luck with this HD camera http://cctvdirectbuy.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66&products_id=1742 We only use HD cameras, the picture quality is much better with HD.
