I have a four bay tandem self serve, it has 6 175w metal halide three on each wall and 3 250w medal halide down the middle. They are all 20 plus years old. It seems like I continue to replace bulbs and ballasts all the time. Should I replace complete fixture, or are there better options? Floresent, large and less metal halides, ect?
Wall are all white epoxy.

I replaced mine with energy efficient T5 fixtures. They illuminate much better, are cheaper to operate and I got a large rebate from my utility company.

I prefer the 320 watt pulse-start metal halide fixtures, particularly the LSI Scottsdale which is a surface mount. Two of those will light up a bay like daylight.

I think two 320 watt scottsdale is plenty I'm thinking of trying the 250s. Your lighting costs will be cut in half.
