I think they are back in FL. I’m in south part but have seen cars from up north. Thank you Lord.
 
Loved when they would come around when we owned our wash in central Florida. Wonder if they would populate if I brought a boxful of them to SE North Carolina 😬

They do seem to be spreading. I'm headed to east Texas this weekend and will probably have to stop and clean the windshield every 30 miles. Ten years ago we didn't have them at all.

I wish we had those in Oregon! Sounds like there the sweet smell of money. I once remember driving through a locust swarm. Needless to say, I was shocked...
 
And if the sun bakes them they’ll eat your paint. We had a 35 ft friction tunnel and we would charge an extra $3 per car because they had to be hand scrubbed. It was better than pollen season for us
