Need help identifying the unloaders/regulators on the LW4000 - newbie ;-)

I see 3 unloaders on the (vertical) pump stand (picture below). It's obvious that one is for the LP and one is for the HP. What's the third one for ? It's got a leak. I took it apart - awfully dirty inside, cleaned it up but it's still got a leak.

I'd like to replace it. The PDQ tech told me it's 53.3 GPM. The closest one I found at KR is this one : http://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-1780-kleen-rite-balanced-pressure-regulator.aspx

Is this the correct one ?

Also, the LP on one of my bays doesn't get over 120psi (all LP cycles). Other threads indicate that 175psi is ideal. I'll change the gauge this weekend, and then adjust the unloader, but what else should I look for ?

Where can I get a replacement LP unloader if I need to change it ?

Any help appreciated.

That's your watersaver unloader. It's probably not your guage on the low pressure...if you're running a procon (especially with hot water)...switch to starite and go through all your danfoss and injectors to make sure they're clean.

You could try adjusting your small unloader to see if the pressure will go up.

The REK5325 is the exact same regulator you have, they just used a different picture on the site. The pic is that of the REK624, which would be too small.

MEP001 : thanks for the confirmation. Does KR sell the low-pressure unloader ?

raisetheprice : Judging from this post http://forum.autocareforum.net/showpost.php?p=12032&postcount=10 I'm guessing I have to buy the star-rite kit from PDQ (or distributor) ? Or can I buy one from Dultmeier to directly replace the Procon ?

I notice that I have 2 different injector sizes. Does the size depend on the chemical or the cycle ?

If an injector is dripping chemical (slowly) is it time to replace it ?

The Starite can be purchased from your distributor, but it's not pdq specifc. Someone hopefully will chime in to the pump's model #. Slight modification for mounting to the pump stand frame is necessary.

A leaky injector could be many things depending on where it is leaking. Just replace or rebuild. Go ahead and get a rebuild kit for the danfoss valve too.

.086 is for detergents
.083 is for low pressure wax
.057 is for clearcoat protectant or rust inhibitor (high pressure)

Can't find the injectors on Kleen-Rite's site anymore, but here is the danfoss rebuilt kit or complete danfoss valve:

All of the reulators can be had at Kleen Rite. The low pressure one isn't that expensive so just buy replacments but the large one, REK5325, is pricey. Buy the rebuild kit. They are very simple to rebuild. The HP and water saver regs are the same. The injector leak is usually the "O" ring that fits over the outside of the injector threads. This could also be a sign of a bad Dan Foss solenoid buts it shouldn't leak outside the injector unless the "O" ring is bad. While you have it apart check the small one on the inside. They swell up and stop the flow of product. You can also get the "General Pump" injector kits from KR if this is the type you have. The kits are also pricey when all you really need is the "O" rings. If you are using a hi PH product you need to keep an eye on these and they also take a special material "O" ring if you want them to last. Your distributor should be able to get these for you and a pretty low cost. Get several of each. It is not a bad idea to also have a couple injector kits on hand as if you loose the ball or spring inside the injector you are out of luck. They do not sell these w/o buying the kit.

I believe it is REK624. If you ever need to ID a part that you have no idea what it is, call KR and ask for a tech. They usually can come up with a replacement for you with your description. I have went so far as to e-mail them a photo. We bought a wash back in 2000 that had all stckers and everything else removed so we would have to go back to that particuliar distributor for replacements. Needless to say the parts from them were extremely high in price.
