I noticed the LED 5 in bank 3 was still blinking intermittently during washes. It should stay on. The "Stop" eye. My Tbar eyes, sonars, and VT eyes have tested ok by my distributor. I had the 2.1 VT controller installed.

I have had an intermittent issue where my "Wash In Use" entrance sign stays on after someone leaves the wash. Not allowing people to start a wash. The wash is down. y15 stays on.

I have not had the "Wash In Use" issue for a while until today. 15 degrees outside. Not that temperature matters.

Here is the scenario:
Wash In Use sign ON
No errors or messages on 100#1#
No faults of any kind on the J0
VT Bank 2, LED 5(I believe) happens quite regularly, but that shouldn't affect the Wash In Use, correct? More of an X30 thing?

Everything else tests fine. I am on site multiple times a day. Always make sure tires, greasings, proxes etc are good.

At this point I am looking for some new things to try. My distributor checked the channels on the eyes, but wasn't quite sure. They has been very helpful, and are aware that this issue has been plaguing my LW4000 since I bought it 1 1/2 years ago. It would be a huge relief if we could figure this issue out.

Thanks in advance for your assistance,

i'd replace the wire that goes to the led 5 and see if that works. a blinking led where there should be a solid in my mind has to be a prox, a connector or a bad wire.

I havent taken time to look at what vt bank 2 led 5 is but

I had a wash in use problem one time. Not sayin this is your problem but its some of what was wrong with mine. Try this after you have exhausted everything else.

You might check that your system option number is correct for your brand of auto cashier. The option number my machine was set up with was incorrect. The system would not allow the LW to reset after a wash cycle. I have a unitec and it was set up for hamilton. the option number change fixed this wash in use problem like a lightswitch

It is also possible that your software is corrupted. Most will try to get you to try everything else before doing a software change and a cold start. I agree to some extent. but when you're pullin your hair out, you gotta try something. Look at the wires and proxs, festoons, etc before doing a software change. But.................if your machine does crazy stuff that you have been chasing for awhile, it is possible that a software change will help.

cured all kinds of ailments that I really didnt even know i had

my two cents

Getnbusy!

I did check my system option number with Troy from PDQ. He said it was correct. Funny you should mention the cold start. Did it this morning. I am hoping that did the trick. Good advice!

Thanks

I did a couple of cold starts with no success. In my case we actually changed the software chip. You also have to do a cold start with a chip change to get the system to accept the new software. The option number fixed our wash in use problem, but the software made it run like a whole new machine. It was amazing. The entire machine started to behave as it was intended. no more mysteries
