made the leap

Got tired of seeing $50k - $70k vehicles spending $3 while using foam cannons and dollar tree chemicals and making a mess.

in the bays i went from
$3 for 4 mins and 20 seconds
to
$4 for 4 mins.

only time will tell but so far no pushback at all. fingers crossed.

for credit card customers i get $5 min and $20 max. count up. 15 seconds per coin.
Right on, right on, right on!
What part of the country are you in?
I'm currently at 18 seconds per quarter with c/c start up at $5 for 6 min (That was the second price increase this year).
Next stop will be $5 for 5 min within the next 90 days.
Vacs are $2 for 5 min. Air fresheners 2 for $3 , towels 2 for $2, Armor All pouches 2 for $3, Armor All cans 1 for $3

its been a year since i made the change so im reporting back. I have to say that i was very nervous because my site has alot less traffic in the bays. it is very noticeable. However, there is no more riff raff and the customers i do have are spending more time and money. Nobody complains about the price and my site is in better shape with less repairs than normal. We still have to deal with trash but most of it is in the cans and not on the ground like it used to be. Plus i dont have to deal with the troublemakers anymore. Bays were up $10k year over year. The real bonus is that with no riff raff hangin around, my automatic is up 2000 cars over the year before even with a new tunnel in town. You guys do your own math on that im not posting the numbers. Water, sewer, chemical and property tax have all had a significant increase. Im goin to $5 for 5 minutes soon.

We've had the same experience; that's great news and the update is appreciated (except for the utility and tax hikes).
We usually do price changes on rainy days. It just goes so much smoother that way.
Our vacuums are now $2 for 4 min, fwiw.
