Is it possible for a Mark 7 to just fall off the tracks by itself? It was working just fine up until this morning. I went back out to the car wash and noticed it sitting towards the back of the track and the lower left rear was off the track. Do you think this would be from someone hitting it? I noticed some minor scrapes on the front of it. If it would have been hit, they would have had to back up and hit it that way.

Exactly this happened to me a year ago. The machine wheels were off the track on one side. You hardly saw anything except the machine wouldn't start. I went through the video footage and an idiot drove in with 100miles per hour and hit the machine which jumped off the rail and then he took off. Since I got his licence plate I made him pay $2000 for damage to our machine or otherwise I would take him to Court for "leaving the scene of an accident". This little sentence works wonders. Hope that helps you. Cheers Justclean.

Yeah, I’m leaning towards someone hitting it with their vehicle. I would think if one of the gear drives was going out, it wouldn’t cause something like this. I don’t have any cameras up or I would know for sure.

Do you have hubscrub. If so maybe they came in crooked it wedged on their back end of the car then they went in reverse and pushed it of the track. I had someone come in with a car dolly. They washed their car them when they were done tried to pull through the dolly hooked onto the gantry pulled it comepletely off the track it was still hooked onto the overhead boom. I got our forklift lifted it up and put it back on the track. Luckily it didn't bend anything other than the track locks. Another time I had a lady drive up onto the rail and drop in next to the gantry. When she did this she thought the machine wash attacking her car so she threw it in reverse which hooked her bumper onto the gantry. This pulled the gantry off the track and had it sitting almost on the guid rail.

Aren't these machines supposed to have clamps that prevent them from jumping the track?
