Mark VII Aquajet boom problem

So im having a problem with my in bay touchless automatic boom. one side is dropping to fast and then the boom gets all "cock-eyed" and stuck. I have no idea how this happened and makes no sense. Its like there is some type of clutch that isnt engaging early enough on the one side so it drops faster then the other... HELP!!!

When I had a Mark 7, when the top boom would drop uneven, we found it was binding on the rails it slides up and down on. We would put it in test mode and keep spraying the rails with WD40. That would fix it for a month or so.
