I know that a number of you find what you need there, Last night I went to their site to get something. When I was completing the order, it said that tax and shipping would be calculated later. The green "working circle" was spinning for some time. I then get a order confirmation email, no shipping yet on it. This morning, the green "working circle" was still spinning. I called them and the lady, said that my order had already been shipped but she couldn't tell me what it cost or how much would be charged on my card. Their web site couldn't calculate the shipping. There was no customer #, or order # on my order confirmation.

They would charge my card that night and send me an email, if I wasn't happy, just refused the shipment. I buy a lot of stuff on-line and have never run into this lack of sophistication on any of them.

Do you mean McMaster-Carr? I buy from them all the time with no problems. When you log into their site there is a tab for order history that should show the invoice for your order.

I have never had that issue either. I buy stuff from them monthly and they are always on top of their game. Interesting.

I buy from them too and find that their shipping charges are cheap. I don't think they add anything to the shipping cost or for handling. I am in Pa. so I am in the same UPS zone as they are. I just ordered parts that weighed 12 lbs. No tax, and shipping was only $6.89 I placed the order at 4:45pm and had it the next day. I have had a good experience with them so far, but I do see that the shipping is not calculated until after the order is placed.
