MDC Timer Burning Out

I have 5 self serve bays that once all used the round Monorail system with MDC timers. About a year ago, I replaced 3 of them with Dixmor LED6 timers and added Cryptopay. Yesterday, one of the two bays bays still running the old timers stopped working. The display worked and correctly accepted coins and started counting down, but no power was sent to the LD circuit and thus no water output of any kind. After inspecting the MDC timer board, I saw why:

No problem, I thought. I pulled one of the unused MDC timers from an upgraded bay and put it in. It worked great for several hours... but then this morning I discovered that the "new" board had suffered the same fate.

I'm very tempted to upgrade these final two bays to LED6 timers as well... but without knowing what is causing the MDC boards to burn out, I'm concerned that I'll end up burning up new equipment instead of old. What's really strange to me is that the coin counter and timer part of the MDC continue to work. It's just the relay that is dying... and only after several hours.

Any thoughts?

Not knowing how they work or what a MDC or LD is. My guess is.... You probably have a relay that went bad. Either in the meter box or in the equipment room. So what terminal got fried on the mdc or ld thing?
