I've had the great pleasure of working with my Dad, Jim, at my carwash and detailing business for many years. Lately, though, we've done even more together as I have been faced with a series of challenging days. Some of you may have met him at the ACF party in Vegas in 2010. He was with me.

Mainly, there have been mechanical repairs my Dad has helped with, but also some troubleshooting, diagnostics and customer service, as well as little projects like putting some ceiling panels up in my equipment room. Whatever I want to tackle, Dad is always ready to help if I need it, even if it's just advice-giving-type help.

When it's me and my Dad working together, it's like 2 buddies joining forces to fix stuff and keep the car wash running its best. We're a team.

I'm thankful to have my Dad as a helper and he mainly volunteers his time trying to help out. I have learned to not take him for granted. He has a calming effect on me when we work together, which is a big help because I can get frustrated! Somehow, having Dad help out just feels right.

Thanks, Dad. I love you and appreciate you very much!:D

I also work with my son.It is the best. Just amazes me how much he can do. He started washing bays for me when he was 12 now he is almost 22 now. He does all our stainless welding and any other welding needed. Our new wash he made the catwalks for the rv bay. He can wire any of our low voltage from bays to washcard controllers to cameras. He also does high voltage with my help, and plumbing is no problem either. Probably the only time I have piece of mind when gone is when he is there. The only problem is we also like to have fun together Snowmobiling or at the lake. Just love having him for a son. I also used to have my daughter work for me washing bays when she was about 12. She did good but the wands kinda over powered her. But the work ethics sure did stick with her.
